Importing Contacts By Bulk
The Contact Import process is divided into 3 parts:
Upload CSV / Xlsx file > Mapping >Review.
Stage 1 - Upload file
Step 1: In the Contacts page, click on the arrow in the Add Contact button > Import Contacts.
Step 2: To import your Contacts and their details, simply upload a CSV file that meets the following requirements:
Only .csv and .xlxs files are accepted for import.
The file size should be less than 20MB.
The file must contain at least one row of data.
It should have less than 10,000 rows.
Make sure to include a "Mobile/Phone" column to add new Contacts.
At least one column needs to be mapped to an identifier, except for the "Add All Contacts Despite Duplicates" import option.
All phone numbers in the CSV / XLXS file must include the country code, and it's recommended to use the "+" sign (e.g., +91 889988776).
For the Date field, use the recommended format "YYYY-MM-DD" (e.g., 2023-10-25).
You can download a sample CSV/ XLXS file with pre-populated data by clicking on the provided hyperlink.
Step 3: Add tags for the uploaded file(for eg- New customers , Important customers etc).
Step 5: Click Next.
Stage 2 - Mapping
You can easily map the column headers in the CSV / Xlsx file to the corresponding Contact Fields in your Workspace. This allows you to specify which Contact Field should be updated with the values from each column. When a column header in the file matches a Contact Field name, such as "Phone Number," the mapping will be done automatically, saving you time and effort.
Ensure that the defined identifier is mapped. Each Contact Field can only be mapped once.
If you wish to skip a column so its values are not imported, uncheck the checkbox on its left. A minimum of one column must be selected to proceed with the import.
Stage 3 - Review and Import
The number of Contacts that will be added and updated after the import, or skipped due to errors, will be reported. Once ready, click Import to proceed.
